About Cony DIY Houston
Research. Try. Measure. Fail. Learn. Try again. Cony DIY Houston is a record of the things I investigate and test while living in Houston.
What this site is about
Homebrewing, lawn care, pools, DIY, potted plants, shisha, cooking, and other everyday “I wonder what actually happens?” questions. Whenever possible, I test things myself and document them with photos, videos, measurements, and calculations.
Look it up, try it, figure out what went wrong, adjust, and try again. The process itself is part of the fun.
Measured, estimated, and inferred are not the same thing
I try to clearly separate values I measured myself from estimates based on product specifications or calculations, and from interpretations based on observation. When outside sources support a technical claim, I aim to cite them with numbered references.
I keep the mistakes too
Not every test works the first time. Settings change, notes get corrected, and experiments sometimes need to be repeated. I want the site to preserve that process, not just the final answer.
Website vs. X
X is where I post more of the day-to-day experiments, work in progress, mistakes, and small discoveries from life in Houston. This website is where I organize the results into something easier to find and reuse later.

Questions and comments
You can send a question or comment from the bottom of an article or from the Contact page. Questions like “what would happen in my setup?” or “could you measure this next?” may become ideas for future tests or article updates.
